Poggio la Croce is ideally located for discovering Maremma: the beaches of Scarlino and Follonica are less than 10km away, and in half an hour by car you can reach Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala. Just beyond you’ll find the art cities Massa Marittima, Siena, and Pisa.
When you return from your daily excursions, you will be greeted by comfortable, well-appointed apartments to relax in front of the fireplace or on the terrace under the stars.

To get to Poggio La Croce you must have car. If you are coming from Rome or Pisa, take highway E80 (SS1 Aurelia) and exit at “Scarlino”. If coming from Florence, take the SS223 to Grosseto then the E80/SS1 towards Livorno and exit at “Scarlino”.
Continue on the SP38 towards Scarlino, Gavorrano for 5.2km. At the stop sign, turn left towards Gavorrano and proceed for 1km. Turn right onto the “Strada Vicinale di Col di Sasso”. Continue for 3km on the paved road and then -on the right- for 1km on the unpaved “Strada Vicinale della Croce”.

This is how we felt when we chose to live here, electing it as our place of the soul. We came from big cities, intense work experiences and sometimes dry human relationships. So we decided to change pace and open up to a new dimension, finding a space where voices mingle with the crunching of leaves, silence alternates with the song of the cinciallegra (great tit) and robin, and our boundaries with Nature start to blur.
